Marking one month off the calendar of 2021

Y’all: WE are about to mark one month off the calendar of 2021! Y’all: WE saw things this month that WE had never seen before! Y’all WE are experiencing darkness turn to light for our days grow longer and hopefully we see them with new and renewed vision. Y’all: WE now know thirty-one days is a mighty long time. Y’all: WE are becoming a REMNANT as we live and breathe and not a single one of us deserve RIPPED REMNANT status!!! So, let’s get our REMEMBER when mindset together because life exactly as we once knew it is likely never coming back and that’s okay! The other day I walked around Patterson Park in Murfreesboro and it felt like an eerie ghost town. The swimming pool held no water. The gym floor set silent glistening with no players. The fountains of water were bagged and covered. The library sold books by the bag. But know a fee was still established and charged to walk the mezzanine of empty. Later, I drove by the AMC Movie Theatre which was once a Sears store and sadly noticed the GameStop. The RIPPED REMNANT has responsibilities to remember and accurately record TRUTH for their Household for least we remember we forget. And, yes it’s easier to do many other things than this one thing but know this one thing establishes our everyday truth in this season as well as this region. REMNANTS are usually purposefully cut from the bolt, folded and set aside, stacked carefully or carelessly together with other REMNANTS to form the always searched bound together REMNANTS PILE. The REMNANTS never forget the fullness of the reality of what was and what was then and of what was not.

This is how we do it!  I did some research and it seams to me, it's been somewhat legal for black folks to read and or write for right at one hundred and fifty years or at least since 1870! Praise be to God, Anti-literacy laws are no longer  prevalent here in the land of plenty! I adopted my One Word 365 for the year 2024!

  The other day, I adopted my one word for the year. This is a practice I have participated in since 2009. Sadly, most years I selected one word which pertained to something I wanted to accomplish. And, there was even a year, I selected one word of the name of a person I wanted my year to focus on. But, this year I am intentionally turning my focus to who I currently am in Christ Jesus! Since returning to the city of Murfreesboro on 15 October of 2021, I have come to understand and realize the nature of my departure (Covid Times) and the true nature of my return. Since, I was working at Screen Art, I though working there was the reason for my return, until I found myself surprisingly not fired, but replaced without reason, on January 6th of 2023. This replacement without reason, exactly a month from the date of my sister's surgery, all but destroyed our finances, as we had also just moved into a larger condo. These Days: I'm learning: How to Design a Screen Printed T-Shirt in Adobe Illustrator ! And it's so much more than this! As the language is different. I learned the basics of Adobe Illustrator while a student at Nashville State, twenty years ago. Then I used those basic skills, while working in the newspaper industry. Then, back in 2008, I started blogging. Well, here we are.  The first thing I need to get a handle on is all of the basic positions a design can be placed on a shirt!
