CELEBRATING 150 years of Black People READING and WRITING in America!

I've been up praying this morning!
I'm over the moon EXCITED about CELEBRATING 150 years of Black People READING and WRITING in America! Although we are focusing on THE BLACK WOMAN this month we faithfully acknowledge that many WHITE women and men sacrificed much in the teaching! Note, the KEY WORD slave and or slavery is Biblical and used through out the Holy Word of God. The truth is America did not create or invent Slavery, God did! 

But what America and only America created were Anti- Literacy Laws! NO other country has ever constructed a convenant of laws to insure the complete loss of communication amid a community of people. 

So here we are one hundred and fifty years later ...

This is how we do it!  I did some research and it seams to me, it's been somewhat legal for black folks to read and or write for right at one hundred and fifty years or at least since 1870! Praise be to God, Anti-literacy laws are no longer  prevalent here in the land of plenty! I adopted my One Word 365 for the year 2024!

  The other day, I adopted my one word for the year. This is a practice I have participated in since 2009. Sadly, most years I selected one word which pertained to something I wanted to accomplish. And, there was even a year, I selected one word of the name of a person I wanted my year to focus on. But, this year I am intentionally turning my focus to who I currently am in Christ Jesus! Since returning to the city of Murfreesboro on 15 October of 2021, I have come to understand and realize the nature of my departure (Covid Times) and the true nature of my return. Since, I was working at Screen Art, I though working there was the reason for my return, until I found myself surprisingly not fired, but replaced without reason, on January 6th of 2023. This replacement without reason, exactly a month from the date of my sister's surgery, all but destroyed our finances, as we had also just moved into a larger condo. These Days: I'm learning: How to Design a Screen Printed T-Shirt in Adobe Illustrator ! And it's so much more than this! As the language is different. I learned the basics of Adobe Illustrator while a student at Nashville State, twenty years ago. Then I used those basic skills, while working in the newspaper industry. Then, back in 2008, I started blogging. Well, here we are.  The first thing I need to get a handle on is all of the basic positions a design can be placed on a shirt!
