Day 40 of Tiny Living! (Temporary Tiny Place for Two!)
It's day 40 of living in what I've titled the Temporary Tiny Place for Two!
The Temporary Tiny Place for Two is a CONDO on the second floor of a building built in the same year I was born (1963).
First and foremost, I've decided this place is temporary because the one thing I've learned in this my one life is any and most everything is temporary, so I'm dealing with this issue of permanence, right out front.
Secondly, I've deemed this place as temporary, because it's a condo on the second floor of a building and dealing with groceries and such on stairs at 59 is not only not practical, but potentially dangerous to one who is so, gracious like myself.
So, I moved into the Tiny Place on November 29th, after working all day, the Mister and me dragged most of my personal possessions up the steps to unit # 23. And then, after Christmas on Tuesday, December 28th, most of my other possessions were moved by me, the Mister, my son and my brother-in-law, from Franklin.
Y'all stairs are super hard on this almost sixty year old body!
It's day 40 of living in what I've titled the Temporary Tiny Place for Two! The Mister is not yet living here, with me full time as he still has much work to do in regards to cleaning up his firewood lot in Franklin.
I was called suddenly from Franklin, by my niece, to work a temporary job on the night of October 13, 2021. The Mister drove me to the Boro on October 14, 2021 and I started working that very day! Commuting was not an option as I currently do not own a car and using the Mister's work truck was not an option either, as it uses a lot of fuel.
As of this writing, the Mister has been here for over a week this month, and living in a super tiny space on the second floor of a building, with your husband who smokes is a great challenged. We've yet to purchase any furnishings, but the blow up mattress, two folding chairs and a folding table have added greatly to the daily comfort and convience of Tiny Place Living.
It's day 40 of living in what I've titled the Temporary Tiny Place for Two and I've made another earth shattering decision! Although, my initial design rendering is still, somewhat on point, I've decided to design the living portion of this space like a boxing ring with four corners. I've decided to create four zones for four activities, in this the boxing ring portion of the space. The four activities are listed below.
- Sitting
- Sleeping
- Working
- Hospitality
